How you move your body reflects how you move through life.
Do you shrink when you enter a room?
Apologise before speaking?
Hold your breath when attention turns toward you?
Feel your throat tighten when the yoga teacher asks you to “om”?
Many of us have learned (consciously or unconsciously) to make ourselves smaller.
To soften our expression.
To quiet our instincts.
To be hyper-vigilant about what others might think.
But the concerns of others, there is a somatic intelligence that lives within all of us.
And when we change how we move, we begin to change how we live.
It’s about practicing how to feel SAFER in your expression, first in the privacy of your own living room - and eventually this extends to the outside world.
What is Somatic Dance?
Somatic dance isn’t about choreography or performing.
It’s a guided movement practice that helps you reconnect with the intelligence of your body.
Through breath, sound, and intuitive movement, you’ll explore what it feels like to move beyond habitual patterns of contraction and step into a more grounded, expressive presence.
This work happens through sensation, not theory.
You don’t need to be flexible.
You don’t need rhythm.
You don’t need experience.
You just need a body.
